Spinal problems and tumours are very commonly seen in neurosurgical practice. Especially in the present times, spinal problems are on the rise. Urbanisation, increase in the IT jobs, sedentary lifestyles and lack of exercise has contributed to this.
Spondylosis related problems and intervertebral disk induced pain are also increasing. This is taking a toll on industrial and social productivity and has deep economic impacts.
Synapse Foundation has focused its energies on this problem for the last 15 years, along with the brain health problems.
The foundation has operated more than 2500 patients of spondylotic spinal disorders, spinal tumours and other types of spinal problems in the last 15 years. As is true in the other projects, the foundation is keen to offer the latest technology at no extra cost to the society. With this philosophy in mind, the foundation has acquired spinal endoscope system, Radio frequency wave generator and open spinal surgery advanced German equipment through generous donations from our philanthropic supporters.
This has helped many with spinal problems to stand on their feet again with the best possible surgical results.
The new advanced neuromicroscope project will boost this effort by allowing us to operate on the spinal cord tumours in far better fashion due to the advanced techniques possible with this microscope.
